A 42-year-old Valley Center man is in custody on a second-degree murder charge after an alleged domestic dispute.
A 911 call was placed around 9 a.m. Friday from a residence at 109th and Ridge Road.
When Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found a 40-year-old woman with severe injuries. She was transported to a local hospital in serious condition but later died from her injuries.
Deputies believe that the injuries the woman suffered came from her 42-year-old domestic partner.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says they have responded to that residence once in the past.
