If you're traveling to the Salina Regional Airport for President Trump’s visit this evening, the Kansas Department of Transportation says all event traffic will need to exit southbound and northbound I-135 at Crawford Street, at exit 92.
KDOT reminds motorists that Kansas law prohibits stopping, standing or parking along an interstate highway except in limited situations. Also, pedestrians and bicyclists are prohibited along interstate routes.
Motorists in and around the Salina area should also be prepared for possible changes to traffic conditions and a higher number of vehicles.
Salina Police say multiple road closures are planned, including a section of Centennial Road south of Tony’s Road. Other closures include Arnold Avenue, Beechcraft Road, Summers Road and Schilling Road all closed at Centennial Road, Copper Court, Commerce Circle, Scanlan Avenue and Arnold Avenue both at Schilling Road, and K-State Road at Tony’s Road and Burchinal Road.
Doors at Hangar 509 will open at 2:30 p.m. The rally starts at 5:30 p.m., with the President expected to speak at 7 p.m.
