A man is dead and a woman seriously injured following a crash in Harvey County. The crash occurred Monday night at Highway 50 and Emma Creek Road, west of Newton. The Kansas Highway patrol reports a car was traveling slowly because of bad weather, when a pickup slammed into the car from the rear. The pickup rolled several times, ejecting the driver. Pronounced dead at the scene was 33-year-old Michael Albert Brandon of Goddard. 47-year-old Wanda Ivy of Newton was hospitalized in Wichita with serious injuries.
