A single-vehicle early morning crash in northwest Wichita has killed one person and injured another.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. as the car was traveling westbound in the 9600 block of west 37th Street North, between Tyler and Maize Roads. According to Wichita Police the driver, a 29-year-old woman, lost control and struck several trees in the median.
A 33-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
