One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a house fire in the 100 block of South Stearns in Haysville. Crews were dispatched to the home just after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sedwick County Division Fire Chief Carl Cox said crews very quickly found a victim inside the home.
The fire was extinguished quickly but the victim had injuries that proved to be fatal. Cox says a second victim that was involved with the fire was transported by EMS to ST. Francis burns center. Also a dog was found dead inside the home.
