The Sedgwick County Jail reported a COVID-19 outbreak last week ... with more than 400 inmates testing positive for the virus. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News the detention crew was prepared for a possible outbreak. Kansas Health officials had already dealt with outbreaks at the prison at Lansing and the facility at Larned, and they worked with Sedgwick County jailers to prepare for a possible outbreak in Wichita.
If a COVID19 vaccine is approved, would Meitzner get the shot? He says he gets a flu shot every year and they seem to have worked, so he would probably "get the vaccine".
Pete Meitzner commented during the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
