Police are investigating a fatal shooting just west of downtown Wichita. Around 2:15 this morning first responders were called to the Villa Del Mar apartments, in the 500 block of north Nims. They found a shooting victim ... pronounced dead at the scene at 2:40. Police identify the victim as 34-year-old Stephen Muriithi of Wichita. The investigation revealed a disturbance occurred at one of the apartments involving multiple individuals, stemming from an earlier physical disturbance. A shot was fired that struck Muriithi.
