Wichita Police are investigating a shooting that fatally injured 17-year-old Valincio Hill of Wichita and injured a 41-year-old female.
At approximately 8:35 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of South Water. Upon arrival, officers located Hill and the female who had been shot. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for medical treatment. Hill succumbed to his injuries, and the female victim is in stable condition.
The investigation revealed several individuals were at the home on Water, including Hill and the female victim. Unknown suspects approached the home on foot and fired multiple shots from the street, striking the victims and surrounding property.
This was not a random incident, and a lack of all cooperation in this investigation has affected investigators from learning all the details of this case.
