A 44-year-old Wichita man is dead after being struck by a car in east Wichita.
It happened around 12:20 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Douglas and Ridgewood Drive. A 28-year-old woman was traveling on Douglas when she struck the man as she crossed the intersection, then continued driving.
John Eyster was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Wichita Police say the suspect was located driving erratically in the 100 block of south Woodlawn Court. Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor.
