To help in the battle with COVID-19, Via Christi Wichita hospitals is asking the community's help in building its inventory of personal protective equipment for its caregivers and patients.
Ace Hardware remains open during the pandemic, the Westlake Ace Hardware locations in Wichita, Andover, Hutchinson and Arkansas City have partnered with Via Christi to collect donations.
The following items are ones that will continue to be needed as the COVID-19 pandemic continues for an unknown duration:
● 32-ounce spray bottles for disinfecting and cleaning
● Hand sanitizer
● Surface disinfectant
● Isolation gowns
● Earloop and tie masks
● Non-latex gloves
● N95 respirators
● Face shields
● Powered and controlled air-purifying respirators (PAPRs and CAPRs)
● Homemade face masks Donations are being accepted through May 20. To donate, simply drop off donations at the checkout of a participating store.
