Wichita is facing a winter storm beginning with rain before mixing with snow overnight. Rainfall amounts could be close to an inch. Portions of the Oklahoma Panhandle have reported up to a foot of snow, as of late Wednesday afternoon.
Law enforcement is urging drivers to use caution as temperatures drop below freezing, and the rain shifts into snow.
The storm system is expected to end early Thursday making way for sunshiny and temperatures in the low 40's.
