A shooting near Harry and Main early Wednesday morning has turned into a homicide investigation. According to the WPD, officers were dispatched to a home in the 1800 block of S. Main around 4:30 a.m.
Arriving officers found a victim with a gunshot wound to the head. Police say the victim, 49-year-old Michael Horn of Wichita, died from his injuries Wednesday afternoon. Investigators believe the shots came from outside the home, they found several shell casings outside the home.
Several witnesses were inside the home at the time of the shooting, and have been cooperating with the investigation. Police say this was not a random incident.
