Fans have weighed in and pinpointed “Jeopardy!” champion Buzzy Cohen as their pick for Alex Trebek's permanent replacement.
A renewed interest in Buzzy came after the quiz show shared a photo on Instagram.

The image was a throwback to when the 2017 winner guest hosted the Tournament of Champions, a special two-week event featuring the best and brightest champions, in mid-May.
Fans championed Buzzy in the comment section.
“Buzzy Cohen is nothing short of fabulous at hosting Jeopardy! — especially during the Tournament of Champions! Now, let’s make him permanent host [of] the show!” one user wrote.
“Make Buzzy the host permanently,” chimed in another one.
“TEAM BUZZY,” a third user weighed in.
“Come on Jeopardy, @jeopardy @sonypictures, how can you not see that @buzzycohenofficial is the best choice to host!?! Make it happen!!” another fan simply stated.
While Buzzy and LeVar Burton have their share of supporters, season 38 of “Jeopardy!” will see a slew of rotating guest hosts following Mike Richards’s departure.
“The Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik, who was originally announced as a host of primetime specials and the spinoff series, will step in to host three weeks worth of episodes.
Though she is being considered for the role full-time, a producer for the show also confirmed to the outlet that “additional guest hosts will be announced” as production continues.
The new season will premiere on September 13.
