Hugo and Estrella are a pair of endangered Galapagos tortoises who were all set to settle down in Australia before the pandemic hit.
Hugo has lived at the Australian Reptile Park since 1963, and Estrella was set to join him in early 2020 from Germany but of course, Covid 19 had other ideas.
Well finally, Estrella has made her way to Australia, but will be under mandatory quarantine until September. Zoo keepers didn't want to keep the two apart from each other any longer, however, and set up a little first date via FaceTime for the tortoises!
Daniel Rumsey, head of reptiles at the park told Yahoo!, "We have always wanted to get Hugo a girlfriend to replace the 'special' rock he has in his enclosure, and this was a great step towards their meeting."
