A man was shot multiple times and killed in the back yard of a residence in the northwest part of Wichita, near 24th & Hoover.
It happened before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of N. Sunny Lane.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jacob Kalese of Wichita.
There was a small gathering at the home. Investigators believe a suspect arrived, and fired multiple shots at the victim, who was there with his girlfriend.
Detectives say this was not a random incident, and they believe the suspect was known to the victim or other people at the gathering.
