Recreating the nativity scene is a Christmas tradition many adore, but sometimes the people responsible for the scene can take things a little too far. That’s exactly what happened to one group in Kansas recently that felt live animals would make their nativity scene the best in the country. Instead, it led to a camel escaping and now running loose throughout the streets of Kansas.
The Bonner Springs Police Department in Kansas received a call recently that no one was expecting. They were asked the help corral a camel that had escaped from a local nativity scene. “Officers and Animal Control were finally able to catch up to the camel in the 600 block of North Nettleton Avenue where it was safely “taken into custody” by lasso! The camel was reunited with its owners and will go back to doing camel things,” said the police department in their now viral post.

According to Bro Bible, Multiple videos of the camel running through the streets have gone viral, as many in Kansas were stunned at the sight of a camel in their area. Maybe next year, the nativity scene will leave out the wild animals.
