A free public event this weekend is aimed at educating people about the danger of a deadly drug. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News the Fight Fentanyl Festival will be Saturday at Towne West Square Mall from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The Festival will feature informational booths and the screening of a new movie, "Riverside High".
Approximately 63 million Americans do some kind of volunteering work, and that number has been declining. Commissioner Chair Pete Meitzner says he has noticed the trend. He thinks the COVID pandemic may have caused volunteers to evaluate how they spend their free time.
Meitzner commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
