A grand reopening celebration was held Saturday for the Alford Branch Library on south Meridian.
Festivities included a ribbon cutting ceremony with remarks from Wichita City Council Member Dalton Glasscock and Director of Libraries Jaime Nix.
The branch hosted community-based activities, including crafting opportunities, musical performances and an art program.
The remodeling project included the teen space, public computing area and main customer service desk. Several study rooms and meeting spaces for small to medium-sized groups were added to the floor plan.
