A woman has died, and a man is wounded after a shooting in the northwest part of Wichita late Wednesday night.
After 11 p.m., police officers were called to the 2300 block of N. Mascot for a report of a shooting, to the northwest of 21st & Arkansas.
Police talked to a man who said he was inside the home with a woman when gunshots were fired into the house from the outside.
The woman who was shot was hospitalized in extremely critical condition, and later died.
