34-year old Preston Spencer was killed in a shooting at a Wichita nightclub over Labor Day weekend. The nightclub, Enigma Club & Lounge, 351. N. Mosley in Old Town, will host its first R&B night since the shooting on Monday.
23-year old Keshawn Maurice Dawson was arrested by police after allegedly being booted out of the club, returning to his car to get a gun and then open fire through the front glass doors. Spencer was killed, and five ladies were injured as a result of the incident.
The event's organizer has implemented some new rules and age restrictions in the aim of reassuring patrons.
Enigma Facebook page now outlines new policies:
Only women ages 25 or older and men 30 or older will be admitted at the door. Anyone younger will have to get a membership card in advance.
A mature dress code will be enforced.
Security will be heightened.
