At Tuesday's weekly meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will hear the annual report on property values from County Assessor Mark Clark. Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News it's valuable information; it gives a "really good snapshot of what's going on". Meitzner says the assessor makes predictions on what he thinks "the future might be"
A new computer chip manufacturing facility is planned for Burlington in eastern Kansas. This comes after the announcement that a computer chip plant will be built in the Wichita area. County Commission Chair Meitzner tells KNSS News our community has a history of focusing on manufacturing ... getting suppliers and making things and ship things of high quality.
Also at Tuesday's meeting the Commission will be asked to renew its contract with Greater Wichita Partnership. Meizner the GWP was formed to promote business and attract workers.
