
The Kansas State Fair has released its attendance numbers for the year; officials say nearly 329,000 people visited the fair during its 10-day span, which finished on Sunday.
The number is about 1,300 fewer attendees than last year, a decline of less than a half-percent.
The first Saturday of the fair, September 7th, had its largest crowd in six years, with more than 51,000 visitors. The second Saturday, September 14th, had 56,000 patrons.
The grandstand concert series had its highest attendance totals in nine years. The acts included Wynonna Judd, Goo Goo Dolls, Casting Crowns, Riley Green, and The Oak Ridge Boys.
The Demo Derby set a new attendance record with nearly 3,000 attendees.
