A 44-year-old Attica, Kansas man was killed Friday afternoon in a head-on collision on K-42 in western Sedgwick County.
It happened around 1 p.m. about a quarter-mile east of 279th Street West, west of Viola.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the vehicle, driven by Eugene Stumblingbear, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with a semi-truck.
Stumblingbear died at the scene. The truck driver, Donald Piotrowski, 54, of Valley Center, had suspected minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
