Baseball fun planned for Wichita's Riverfront Stadium

Brandon Whipple
KNSS NEWS

Baseball season is here and that means great fun at Wichita's Riverfront Stadium, home of the Wind Surge. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News the folks who are running the team now are looking at ways to make a ballgame more affordable, with special promotions and discounted beverages.

At Tuesday's meeting the Wichita City Council will consider a loan from the State of Kansas to partially finance construction of the City's new water treatment facility. Mayor Whipple says the new water project will cost more than $400 million, and the loans actually save the City money.

Whipple says the City of Wichita has a new way to communicate with her citizens, with an events publication called Evolve.

Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
