Voters are heading to the polls today for the Primary Election in Kansas. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News Election Commissioner Laura Rainwater has done a good job in creating more polling places. Baty says today there are 107 polling sites in Sedgwick County, 25 more than when Baty took office two years ago. He says that's "a credit" to Rainwater and her staff.
At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will talk about renewable energy policy. Baty they're looking at solar energy and what it will involve regarding size limitations.
Also at Wednesday's meeting, the Commission will accept a donation of land for the new state psychiatric Hospital; 11 acres from the Lane Family Foundation at Meridian and MacArthur.
