The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has lifted the blue-green algae warning for Lake Afton, near Goddard.
Sedgwick County confirmed the latest results through a negative jar test and visual observation. The blue-green algae had prompted the months-long warning for the lake and prohibited activities like swimming and jet skiing. Direct contact with the water can make humans and animals sick.
The county says normal lake activities can now resume.
