A child is dead after a hit-and-run accident in east Wichita Wednesday evening, near Harry and Rock Road. According to Wichita Police, it happened just after 6:30 p.m. Responding officers found the victim at the scene, that victim was pronounced dead around 10 minutes later.
Officers say two men ran from a vehicle after it collided with a pedestrian. A 24-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested. Police say the child was between 10 and 14 years old. The child's name has not been released.
