A Pretty Prairie woman was in serious condition after a crash on U.S. 54 Friday afternoon.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 3:36 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 54 and Thompson St. in Kingman County, to the east of Kingman.
The woman, identified by the KHP as Carolyn Groves, 62, was turning east on U.S. 54 when she was hit by a semi pulling two trailers and traveling eastbound.
Groves was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the semi, Ezequiel Ramirez, 42 of Wichita, was not injured.
