A woman died late Thursday afternoon after a crash at the intersection of 135th Street West & 29th North, to the northwest of Wichita.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Tiffany Jones of Wichita. She died at the scene, and was not wearing a seat belt.

Jones was driving a Dodge Dart, which collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander in the intersection. The driver of the Outlander, a 26-year-old woman from Maize, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Three children who were passengers in the Outlander were also hospitalized with serious injuries.

Investigators say it appears Jones failed to yield at the stop sign on 29th Street, colliding with the south-bound vehicle.

Sedgwick County sheriff's deputy Sidnee Carter was killed in a crash at this same intersection nearly three years ago.
