Fire crews were called to battle a blaze that affected two homes and a garage in west Wichita. It began before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of south Gordon, near 2nd and Meridian.
As smoke was visible from across the city, a second alarm was sounded, and crews were able to bring the blaze under control.
A department spokesman says three structures were damaged, two single family homes and a detached garage. One of the homes and the garage is likely a total loss. The other home had exterior damage.
There were no injuries. A damage estimate and a cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
