It took all of 45 minutes to complete the first Sedgwick County Commission meeting of 2024.
The commission adopted their 2024 Legislative platform, which focuses on appropriations and policy issues of public service, public safety, fiscal responsibility, and workforce and economic development that are important to the county to continue to maintain the high level of service and programs.
Commissioner Ryan Baty says the platform addresses the unique needs the county has.
The platform will be presented to all members of the Kansas House and Senate. The 2024 Kansas Legislative session begins Monday, January 8.
