The Wichita Fire Department responded Monday morning to a two-alarm apartment fire near Pawnee and McLean. Fire Crews were dispatched to the fire at the Kingston Cove Apartments around 2:45 a.m.
Five people were reported injured, one patient was removed from the building by firefighters and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Four others were treated at the scene. An unknown number of residents have been displaced, but crews said at least six apartments were damaged. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
