Kansas Governor Laura Kelly issued an order for flags throughout Sedgwick County to be flown at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Saturday, March 21, in honor of former Kansas State Representative Melody McCray-Miller.
McCray-Miller passed away last month at the age of 69. She was born and raised in Wichita, the community where she spent her entire life, serving for more than three decades in roles that included the Sedgwick County Commission, in the Kansas Legislature and on the Wichita School Board.
