
A former Kansas Police chief has pleaded guilty to child sex crimes.
The investigation began after a cyber tip about alleged sexual exploitation of children through electronic devices.
Joel Womochil, 39, the former Burns police chief, pleaded guilty to two-counts of conspiracy to commit sexual exploitation of a child – production of child pornography.
He was sentenced to 60-years in prison and ordered to pay over $500,000 in restitution.
Three other people also pleaded guilty in the case.
