A suspect is in custody after two schools in Garden City were placed on lock-down.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when police responded to a domestic violence call at the East Garden Village mobile home park.
A woman told officers that she and a man, 22, got into an argument and he slammed a refrigerator door on her hand. The man then allegedly threatened her with kitchen knives and a chair. She was able to get away and called the police.
Officers attempted to talk the man out of the house for around an hour. They eventually entered the residence, and the man was taken into custody, and booked into the Finney County Jail on multiple charges.
The school lockdowns, which were implemented as a precaution, were lifted just after 11:00 a.m.
