The Goddard Board of Education met Thursday night and voted 7-0 to require facemasks for students and teachers in grades K-6, including visitors.
The mask policy will take effect Sept. 7, as classes resume following the Labor Day weekend. School officials said that local and county data will be monitored to determine when the mask policy can be suspended.
