Hospitals across the south are experiencing big problems after Hurricane Ida. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News local hospitals may be receiving patients from the stricken area, where hospitals have no power and water and sewer systems are down. Federal officials have asked local officials to advise them on hospital bed availability.
Hospitals across the country are full to capacity during this recent round of COVID infections. Meitzner is trying to remain hopeful during the pandemic, that the problem has reached its peak.
