Wichita Vice Mayor J.V. Johnston says while the Cheney water level has risen several feet recently, the restrictions are based on a rolling 12-month average. Johnston says "it's going to take a year to get that average back up".
At Tuesday's meeting, the council will consider a "move over" traffic ordinance. Vice Mayor Johnston tells KNSS News drivers must give extra space to disabled vehicles. The City Council will ensure the Wichita ordinance is the same as a new state 'move over" law.
