AAA Kansas is predicting that more than 900-thousand drivers will need road-side assistance between now and year's end. Shawn Steward of AAA tells KNSS News that means more than three-thousand drivers in Kansas could be the ones calling for assistance.
Steward advises that you check out your vehicle before you leave with special attention to windshield wipers, tires, and batteries. He also says each vehicle needs to have a winter emergency kit with jumper cables, flares and/or reflective triangle, ice scraper car cell phone charger, blanket, map, and cat litter or sand for better tire traction.
AAA predicts nearly 104 million Americans will be on the road over the holidays.
