A Kansas, man was in court Friday, charged in connection with the murder of his mother.
The KBI says the Canton Police Department received a 911 call about an unresponsive woman on Jan. 23.
Thy found Briana Lance, 52, dead in the backyard of her home. The KBI says the investigation led them to arrest Hayden Lance, 18, the woman's son.
He was charged in McPherson County District Court with second-degree murder
Hayden's next court date is scheduled for Feb. 3. Bond was set at $500,000.
