The funeral for six-year-old Cole Adrian took place Monday morning at the Free Methodist Church of McPherson, at 1010 S. Maple St.
Adrian was among two people killed by a woman driving a pickup truck in the Oct. 17 crash at Stryker Sports Complex in the northeast part of Wichita.
Following the funeral service, a private graveside service took place.
Overflow seating was across the street from the church at the Greer Auditorium.
Adrian was a kindergarten student at Roosevelt Elementary School in McPherson. All McPherson Public Schools were closed for the day, so that students, teachers, and staff could attend the funeral.
All memorials are asked to be made out directly to the Adrian family. Flower donations are also appreciated. The family invited those attending the service to wear Adrian’s favorite kinds of attire, including soccer jerseys, blue clothing, or camouflage.
