A Lyons man was indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly aiming a laser pointer at a Kansas Highway Patrol plane. 68-year-old Cletis Ringwald is facing 1 count of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft, a federal crime.
If convicted he faces a maximum penalty of up to 5 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The FBI and the Kansas Highway Patrol are investigating the case.
