With the number of coronavirus cases dropping, some Kansas mask mandates are being lifted.
Masks are no longer required in state buildings as of Friday afternoon, due to a directive from Topeka.
Earlier in the week, Sedgwick County no longer required masks in county buildings or for their employees. However, exceptions may be made on a department by department case.
The city of Wichita still has a mask mandate in place. But, city leaders plan to discuss changes to the mandate in the next few day.
On Tuesday, the Wichita School Board will meet in special session at noon, to discuss the mask mandate for USD 249.
