The Kansas Department of Corrections and the KBI is investigating the death of a Lansing Correctional Facility inmate.
Michael Moore, 35, was found unresponsive in his cell Saturday. Staff and EMS personnel administered life-saving measures but were unable to revive him. The cause of death will be determined by an independent autopsy.
Moore was serving a sentence for convictions of driving under the influence; aggravated escape; possession of opiates, narcotics, or stimulants, and robbery in Sedgwick County.
