The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation of an officer involved shooting in Butler County. It began as a police chase that ended in a crash near the Sedgwick and Butler County line.
Just before 3:00 Tuesday afternoon Sheriff's Deputies, with the aid of FLOCK identified a suspected stolen vehicle at Butler Road and SW 60th. The driver took off and the chase ended when the vehicle crashed near Kellogg and 159th.
One person was reported in critical condition, no other injuries were reported. Additional details about the exchange of gunfire have not been released.
