The Kansas Department of Corrections says a minimum custody resident walked away from the Wichita Work Release Facility Friday.
KDOC says Eljay Allen Reinhardt, 40, currently serving time for drug convictions, left for work at 9:30 a.m. Friday. He was placed on escape status around 11:30 p.m. after failing to report back to the facility.
Reinhardt is white, 6′ 1″ tall, weighing 225 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He has two tattoos: one on his neck which reads "EHAR & 2-8-01", along with a triangle design tattoo under his left ear on his neck.
Reinhardt was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. His last known location was at a business in the 700 block of N. West Street in Wichita. He left with another individual in a yellow antique truck.
