Governor Laura Kelly will deliver her 2026 State of the State address to a joint session of the Kansas Legislature at 6:30 Tuesday evening.
The address will take place in the House of Representatives chamber at the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka.
This will be Gov. Kelly's final State of the State address, as she finishes up the final year of her second term in office.
She'll most likely tout her accomplishments, including the recent news of the Kansas City Chiefs football franchise moving from Missouri to Kansas in 2031; that’s expected to create more than 20,000 jobs during construction, and is expected to generate $4.4 billion in economic impact for the state.
