Heimerman Point campground at Cheney State Park was evacuated Saturday evening due to rising lake levels and is closed until further notice.
Other areas of the lake are being monitored as well and could be closed as the lake level rises and causes more roads to go underwater.
Right now, Cheney Lake is 3.64 feet above conservation level but the water cannot be released due to flooding on the Ninnescah River downstream of the lake.
