Congressman Jake LaTurner (KS-02) issued the following statement after PETA sent a letter to Chance Rides, a Kansas-based amusement company, demanding they end production of animal-themed carousels:
"Extreme liberal activists have nothing better to do than attack small businesses and wage war on merry-go-rounds," said Rep. LaTurner. "It's absolutely ridiculous and could not be more out of touch with Kansans. PETA should be ashamed and embarrassed."
