Local governments receive opioid settlement money

Local governments are beginning to receive shares in federal court settlements of opioid abuse cases. Sedgwick County Commissioner Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News disperments are coming in from big drug makers and marketers. That money is to be spent on drug treatment and support.

Sedgwick County citizens are receiving their property tax bills, to be paid by December 20th. Commissioner Meitzner says large increases in tax bills are not expected.
